There are at least two main reasons why bolts are failing. It could be either spontaneous bolt loosening or slackening due to many factors like vibration, new or soft material you use. How to handle this issue? The answer is to use appropriate washers for secure locking of your fasteners.

We are proudly introducing our own branded RS PRO Lock Washer, Crinkle type designed for pre-loading and spacing to increase stability to your nuts.

They function the same way as a standard washer, by distributing the load of a bolt against a surface material but have a locking action that prevents turning of the fastener, meaning there is less chance of the fixing loosening over time or under repeated stress. As such, they are commonly used wherever vibration is a factor.
